Maria A. Feeley Named Among ‘Women Worth Watching’

The Profiles in Diversity Journal has selected Maria A. Feeley, a partner in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group of Pepper Hamilton, as one of its 2011 Women Worth Watching®. Maria’s profile showcasing her numerous professional achievements and inspiring message will appear in a special issue of the Profiles in Diversity Journal in September/October 2011.
Named in 2008 as one of Pennsylvania’s 25 Women of the Year by The Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly, Maria earned this recognition through her tireless efforts to advance diversity in the Pennsylvania legal community and at Pepper. Maria is a member of the firm’s Hiring and Diversity Committees and serves as the Philadelphia liaison to the American Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession. She founded and chaired the committee that drafted the Call to Action and Best Practices for the Retention and Promotion of Women Lawyers, which the Philadelphia Bar Association adopted in 2008 and to which Pepper is a signatory. Maria also founded and chaired the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Annual Women in the Profession Summit and CLE Conference. She serves on the Executive Council of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession. In recognizing her accomplishments, the Profiles in Diversity Journal joins the Philadelphia Business Journal, which honored Maria as one of its 40 under 40 Award recipients, and American Lawyer Media, which named Maria as a "Lawyer on the Fast Track."
