This event will focus on franchise and distribution law bringing clients up to date on developments in these legal areas, including pricing issues, franchise relationship laws and enforcement of franchise system standards and related intellectual property issues.

This session will provide an exploration of case law subsequent to the Supreme Court's decision in Leegin as well as trends in state law enforcement of alleged vertical restraints.

2:45 p.m. Session Two: The Inadvertent Franchise
A. Christopher Young, Jeffrey A. Carr
This session will provide an overview of state franchise and dealer relationship laws, how they may apply to what is intended to be garden-variety distributorships, how to avoid falling in the franchise/dealer relationship trap and the impact, if any, of the United States Supreme Court's recent opinion in Mac's Shell on actual and constructive dealer terminations and non-renewals.

This session will provide an overview of injunctive relief and other methods of enforcing a franchisor's system standards and intellectual property issues associated with enforcement or terminations.
