Women at Pepper

View a short video on diversity from our Careers Podcenter.

Women have long played an equal role in managing the firm and providing legal services to clients. In 1960, we were one of the first major law firms in the nation to elect a woman partner. We broke another glass ceiling in 1993, when we became one of the first major law firms in the country to elect a woman as managing partner. In 2007, we elected a woman to chair the firm’s Executive Committee.

Today, women serve on every firm management committee, including the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee, the Compensation Committee and the Hiring Committee.

Women partners chair our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department, and our practices in antitrust, health effects litigation, insurance, investment funds, media and communications, real estate and tax.

Women also are leaders in firm administration. Top administrative positions held by women include Chief Information Officer, Director of Professional Development, Director of Professional Recruiting, Professional Responsibility Counsel, and Director of Library and Research Services.
