Hannah Dowd McPhelin is an associate with Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Philadelphia office. Ms. McPhelin concentrates her practice in real estate matters and other business transactions, including the acquisition and sale of commercial real estate properties and leasing of office, retail, warehouse and industrial space, representing both landlords and tenants. She is a LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional and a member of the firm’s Sustainability, CleanTech and Climate Change Team.

- representing the landlord in the leasing of a LEED certified office building
- representing the landlord in the leasing of a new retail development
- representing clients in real estate tax assessment appeals
- performing due diligence on owned and leased properties for corporate transactions
- representing clients in 1031 exchange transactions
- representing a client in a property demolition action
- representing a client in a quiet title action based upon adverse possession.
Ms. McPhelin is currently co-editor of sustainability-counsel.com, a blog for businesses, individuals and lawyers seeking information about renewable energy, green technology, green building, climate change, financial incentives and more.
Before attending law school, Ms. McPhelin spent two years as a legal assistant with Hoyle, Morris and Kerr LLP in Philadelphia. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
